  • Total Professional Advantage Seminar.  Once admitted to JIU you will have immediate access to our interactive career development workshops that prepare you to meet workplace challenges and culminate in a personal online portfolio showcasing your unique talents and accomplishments.  You will also have the opportunity to receive feedback from faculty and your advisor on your portfolio.

  • Professional Career Advisor. As a JIU student, you will receive 120 minutes of guidance - at no cost to you - provided by a licensed Professional Career Advisor with expertise in your chosen field.  Your advisor will contact you upon entering your first seminar workshop, followed by a series of personalized and confidential coaching sessions tailored to meet your specific needs. Your advisor will also help you create a career plan that will guide your professional development throughout your career. 

  • The Blog and Bulletin Board. JIU's Total Professional Advantage 2.0 Blog provides fresh career-related content and tips for job seekers, while our Bulletin Board provides a useful Forum for students and alumni to interact and post information by sugject area.
